Why are we doing this?

Because above all, Love outshines Understanding.

The Wilted Tulip Festival is a sacred, brave space for reflection, appreciation, and healing.

Maybe you’re still a churchgoer. Maybe you’ve drifted away.

Maybe you’re nostalgic. Maybe you’re in pain.

Maybe you know what Rumi meant:

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there."

The Wilted Tulip Festival is a gathering for those raised in or deeply influenced by rigid Christian traditions who are now seeking meaning beyond the black-and-white.

It's a space for those who are grateful and grieving, hopeful and hurt. It’s not about ideology. It’s about people. It’s about you, and your story.

Through storytelling, silence, reflection, and shared presence, we gather to:

  • Reclaim parts of our stories that still hold beauty and truth.

  • Mourn what was harmful, limiting, or lost.

  • Make peace with ambiguity.

  • Find the courage to chart new paths forward—with gentleness and grace.

This is a festival of sensemaking and togetherness, not sermons or answers. There’s no dogma here. Only people, honesty, compassion, and presence—both human and Divine.
